What is the AgeTech Collaborative™?

The AgeTech Collaborative™ is a platform that is owned and created by AARP.

We envision AgeTech Collaborative™ to be the home for all businesses interested in being a part of the the AgeTech ecosystem.

Our first step in creating the AgeTech ecosystem was finding the best and the brightest AgeTech startups that empower people to choose how they live as they age. This platform will help shine a spotlight on these AgeTech solutions while also providing connections to industry experts and enterprises looking to address society’s most pressing issues as we age.

FAQ

How do I apply for the Collaborative?

We are so glad you are interested in joining!

If you are a startup, please note that the AgeTech Collaborative is currently only available to AARP Portfolio startups.  If you are a startup interested in working with AARP Innovation Labs, learn more here.

If you are interested in joining as an investor, testbed, business service, or industry leader, please apply
here.

Is this restricted to AgeTech solutions only?

Yes, our work aligns with the strategic initiatives of AARP, which means we are looking for startups that have a solution that empowers people to choose how they live as they age.

If I join, what are the expectations?

We are so glad you asked.  Our hope is that you engage with other participants. That can be done through communicating with startups, attending events, and generally being active within the community.

We will be adding new features to the platform later this year which will continue to help you engage across the ecosystem.

How do you define AgeTech?

Great question! We define AgeTech as technology that is predominantly focused on helping solve issues for the 50+ community. Currently we see a lot of startups in the Health Tech and FinTech verticals fall into the AgeTech space.

How many portfolio companies do you have?

You can view our growing portfolio in our startup directory here.  Make sure to look for the AARP Startup Portfolio company badge!
